Prayr Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Prayr handles data in the Prayr iOS app.

1. Who We Are

  • Effective dateMay 11, 2026
  • AppPrayr for iPhone and iPad
  • Bundle IDcom.praytowin.app
  • DeveloperEzra Maslaton
  • Contactsupport@theprayr.com

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Prayr iOS app. Prayr helps users reduce distracting app usage by blocking selected apps, categories, or websites with Apple Screen Time. To unlock blocked apps, users complete a short Christian prayer or check-in. The app includes prayer history, streaks, Bible verses, AI-generated prayer text, notifications, language selection, and subscription or paywall flows.

Religious and spiritual information can be sensitive personal data. Please do not enter highly sensitive information into free-text prayer or check-in fields if you do not want that text sent to the services described below.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Prayr may store the following data locally on your device to provide app functionality:

  • Name or nickname
  • Age range
  • Daily screen-time range
  • Prayer reasons, callings, obstacles, and fears
  • Prayer frequency and how prayer feels
  • Denomination and gender
  • Mood and connection-to-God check-ins
  • Commitment selection
  • Preferred language
  • Prayer sessions, including date, duration, source, verse, and generated prayer text
  • Prayer streaks and statistics
  • Selected blocked apps, categories, and websites as Apple Screen Time tokens
  • Unlock state, daily reset state, shield state, and unlock expiry
  • A random local user UUID stored in Keychain

4. Data Sent Off Device

Google Gemini API

Prayr may send onboarding and check-in inputs to the Google Gemini API to generate personalized Christian prayer text. This may include mood, connection level, denomination, gender, prayer frequency, how prayer feels, selected reasons, callings, obstacles, fears, and free-form heart text if you enter it.

Google's privacy information is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Gemini API terms are available at https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.

Superwall

Prayr may use Superwall for paywalls and subscription management. Superwall may process paywall and subscription related data, purchase history, paywall views, app interaction data, device and app metadata, and possible coarse location derived from IP address according to Superwall's SDK documentation.

Superwall privacy information is available at https://superwall.com/privacy, and Superwall's App Store privacy label guidance is available at https://superwall.com/docs/ios/guides/app-privacy-nutrition-labels.

Apple

Apple handles App Store downloads, in-app purchases, Screen Time permission flows, and notification permission flows. Payment card data is handled by Apple, not by the Prayr developer. Apple's privacy information is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

5. How We Use Data

Data is used to provide app functionality, personalization, app blocking, prayer history, streaks and statistics, subscriptions, purchase restoration, notifications, and support.

Prayr does not sell personal data. Based on the current implementation information used for this policy, Prayr does not use personal data for advertising tracking.

6. Data Not Used or Collected Based on Current Implementation

  • No ads
  • No third-party ad tracking
  • No App Tracking Transparency prompt
  • No camera, photos, microphone, contacts, precise location, HealthKit, or Bluetooth access
  • No custom backend found
  • No Firebase, Crashlytics, Mixpanel, PostHog, or Sentry found
  • Payment card data is handled by Apple, not by the app developer

7. Apple Screen Time and Notifications

Prayr uses Apple Screen Time, FamilyControls, and ManagedSettings to let you select and block apps, app categories, or websites. Your selections are handled through Apple's system picker and represented to the app as Screen Time tokens.

Prayr may request notification permission for prayer reminders, streak reminders, or related app functionality. You can revoke Screen Time or notification permissions in iOS Settings.

8. Subscriptions and Purchases

Prayr may offer subscriptions through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes purchases and payment information. Superwall may help display paywalls, determine paywall behavior, and manage subscription-related app flows.

You can manage or cancel Apple subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.

9. Children and Minors

Prayr may include onboarding options related to age range. Because prayer/check-in inputs may be sent to third-party services for generated prayer text, parents or guardians should review app use by minors and should not allow minors to enter sensitive personal information into free-text fields.

10. Your Choices and Deletion

You can choose not to provide optional profile, onboarding, or free-text information. You can revoke Screen Time or notification permissions in iOS Settings.

Based on the current app behavior described for this policy, local Prayr data is deleted by deleting the app from your device. The app should not promise full in-app account deletion unless a real deletion/reset feature clears SwiftData, UserDefaults, Keychain, and app-group data.

For access, deletion, correction, objection, or other privacy requests, contact support@theprayr.com.

11. Rights for EU/EEA Users

If the GDPR applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, contact support@theprayr.com.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Prayr changes or when legal, technical, or service provider requirements change. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
